EMMY Award-winning broadcaster, Sunday Times bestselling author, actress, TV presenter and the UK’s best loved agony aunt, Coleen Nolan started her career in entertainment with her five sisters with the Nolans going on to become one of the top 5 girl groups of all time after their single “I’m In The Mood For Dancing” became a global smash hit going on to be one of the biggest selling singles of the last 50 years.
Coleen reunited with her singing sisters for two new hit TV shows: “The Nolans Go Cruising” and “At Home with The Nolans”- both smashed ratings records for Discovery Channel’s Quest Red platform and are now syndicated worldwide, proving their popularity with the public with both nominated for Best Reality Show at the TV Choice Awards.
Coleen made the transition from pop star to TV presenter debuting on “Loose Women” on ITV1 back in 2000 and has co-presented the show for more than 20 years, alongside presenting ITV’s “This Morning”.
She has also presented some of the highest rating shows including the International EMMY Award winning primetime series “The Real Full Monty”, ITV1’s prime time “Dancing on Ice” Friday show and her own SKY series, “The Truth about Beauty”.
In addition to presenting, Coleen has won Celebrity Big Brother, appeared on Celebrity Flirty Dancing for Stand Up 2 Cancer and finished as a semi-finalist on Dancing on Ice.
As a writer, Coleen has delivered six bestselling books with her first autobiography “Upfront & Personal”, holding the number one spot on the Sunday Times Bestseller Chart for a record-breaking 16 weeks. In August 2024, Coleen released her latest book A Hand To Hold published by Harper Collins North. The book serves as a friendly, compassionate and supportive companion for anyone faced with loss and quickly became a Sunday Times bestseller. One of her most loved roles is as the long running agony aunt for the Daily Mirror where she has been helping solve some of life’s trickiest dilemmas for a some of a weekly readership of over 10 million.
Describing herself as “90% vegan”, Coleen is passionate about animals and the natural world; she lives on a converted barn in rural Cheshire with her children and a menagerie of pets including her numerous mostly rescued cats and dogs and her 2 hugely affectionate goats…
In November 2022 Coleen went onto launch her own podcast series with The Reach Group and Co-op Funeralcare. The series was titled “Let’s Talk About Grief“ and performed extremely well. Series 2 of the podcast dropped at the end of 2023. Coleen also recently appeared on Celebrity The Bake Off for Channel 4 and Stand Up For Cancer and is working on a number of new television projects.
In early 2024 Coleen embarked on her first ever solo tour. Simply titled “Naked”, Coleen travelled around the UK performing to sold out audiences.
In December 2024 Coleen took part of the National Lottery’s New Years Eve party performing to a well-known Abba song to celebrate 25 years of Loose Women. Coleen will also be hosting her first ever radio broadcast for BBC local radio that will go out over the Christmas period on selected BBC local stations.
